1. Kamru Fort

The first thing to do while being at Sangla Valley is visit Kamru Fort. Located on a hilltop, it is a significant tourist attraction in the Valley. It is at a distance of 2-3 kms from Sangla, around 8-10 minutes travel only. Vehicles can go up to a certain point only; from there, you need to take a walking path for 30 minutes to reach the Kamru Fort. While walking to the fort, you can see beautiful apple trees and snow-capped mountains. It has the presence of Kamakshi Devi Temple as well. The temple has a lovely entry door. The entry to the temple and the fort is through this artistic door only. Here you can experience ancient architectural work around. 2. Rakchham

Once you are back from Kamru Fort, head southeast towards Chitkul. Before going to Chitkul, you need to make a stop at Rakchham, a very famous tourist destination in Sangla Valley. Covering a distance of around 14 kms, it takes about 1 hour to reach Rakchham. If you are using your own vehicle, there is no issue, but the local transport buses run twice daily. So, it’s better to plan accordingly.
The distance between Sangla Valley and Rakchham is short, so adventurous travelers often walk or trek to reach Rakchham, though walking may take a bit more than 1 hour. Located on the bank of the Baspa River, you can enjoy playing in the river’s beautiful waters. The meadows at Rakchham are a sight to behold. After Rakchham your next destination to explore would be Chitkul. It is a small town in Kinnaur district. It is located at an altitude of 11,000 ft. It is at a distance of around22 kms, which would take you 1 hr. 15 mins to reach though the road leading to it is a little rough. It is the best destination for adventurous people. You can capture beautiful pictures of the lush green fields, streamy rivers & streams, and now cladded peaks. The famous Baspa river flows along. This Village is considered to be the last Village on the Indo Tibet Border and first Village in the Baspa Valley. It is worth visiting this small Village.

4. Rupin Pass

Another place you can visit for trekking from Sangla Valley is Rupin Pass. It is a very famous trekking spot in the Sangla Valley in Himachal. It is distanced around 14 km from the valley. This trek offers a wide range of things, from beautiful landscapes to gradients and altitudes. The Rupin Pass trek is not very difficult, so even beginners can easily do it.
