Is Andaman Worth Visiting?
The best part about Andaman is its untouched beauty. Most of the time, when someone asks me if they should visit Andaman, I consider their travel style. But honestly, Andaman is worth visiting for everyone. From beachside resorts and hotels to mouth-watering seafood restaurants, the place is a luxury escape for travelers.
In fact, Andaman has some of the best white-sand beaches in India, like Radhanagar Beach, rated among Asiaโs best. You can explore vibrant marine life while snorkeling at North Bay or scuba diving at Havelock Island.
How Long Do You Need to Travel Andaman?
I would recommend spending at least one week in Andaman & Nicobar.
To explore Port Blair fully, you need two days. The first day is your arrival day, where you can explore evening sightseeing spots like local markets, restaurants, and the Light & Sound Show at Cellular Jail. Keep the main sightseeing places for day two.
For Havelock Island, I suggest a minimum two-day stay, as most beaches are close to each other. Keep Elephant Beach for one day, as it’s filled with water sports activities and remains open until 3:30 PM.
Visiting Neil Island requires another two daysโone full day to explore the beaches and half a day for the remaining spots. By afternoon, youโll need to leave for Port Blair, as it is the main connecting point to reach the destination.
On your last day before returning to Port Blair, you can plan a visit to Ross Island, which is just 3 km from Port Blair and accessible by a short 15-minute ferry ride.
