I have been 5 times to Manali, and definitely, the reason is not only the proximity to Delhi but the scenic views and vistas here. Not only famous tourist spots on my list when I go there, but also scenic cafes filled me with incredible lifetime memories. Himalayan food here adds unique flavor and culture to tourists. Especially sitting among the mountains and having tea or coffee paired with Pahadi Maggi can feel like heaven. 1. Cafe 1947
Tucked away in the quiet lanes of Old Manali, Cafe 1947 is en route to the Manalsu River and offers a great view of the surrounding mountains. We discovered the best riverside cafe in Manali following the suggestion of someone at our hotel and decided to go there.
We reached there, took our seats, and were astonished by the abundant breathtaking views. We clicked so many pictures, group and solo, as it was an Instagrammable-friendly cafe in Manali.
The dimly-lit ambiance was complimenting a cozy atmosphere. We tried the burger of Bodom and the Metallica pasta, both of which were incredibly tasty. Then I ordered a hot cup of ginger tea while others in my group took other beverages.
We couldn’t resist trying the Tiramisu for dessert, which was a perfectly sweet ending to our meal. The cafรฉ’s location on the riverbank was a feather in the cap to the overall experience, providing a soothing backdrop of flowing water.
2. The Last Stop Cafe
If you’re in Manali and looking for a super quiet and calm cafรฉ spot, The Last Stop Cafรฉ is your go-to place. Here, you can not only enjoy delicious riverside food but also soak in the surreal views amidst nature. This Manali cafรฉ is located on the banks of the Manalsu River, where the lush green mountains and the soothing sound of the river can make your trip special. This tourist-friendly cafรฉ is quite close to Manali’s main attractions, just a 10-minute walk from Hidimba Temple and many other temples, and about 15-20 minutes from Mall Road.
3. Drifter’s Cafรฉ
After several hours of sightseeing in Manali, get to the Drifter’s Cafe to make your day more memorable. They offer an all-day menu, you can consider it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner dining. Wooden ambiance, comfortable seating, and calm, quiet decor offer a royal Himalayan treat. We ordered the butter chicken pizza, and it was something I had never eaten anything like before. We also tried the famous Manali dish, Siddhu, which was good, but the street-side Siddhu at Mall Road in Manali set a higher standard. If you’re a Chinese food lover and scratching your head to find the best of it in Manali, mark this place at the top. Their menu doesn’t disappoint, neither on food choices nor on meal cost. Let’s talk about what to eat! You can try pasta, chicken tikka sandwiches, and bacon burgers, among the other popular dishes. Whether with friends or on a family dinner outing, you’ll have a great time at the cafe. The restaurant remains open till late in the night, until 1:30 a.m., so be ready for the great late-night fun.

Tucked away near Hidimba Temple in Old Manali, this spot is very popular not just as a cafe but also as a stay lounge. You’ll spot a lot of tourists here as it is a very old cafe that offers Mexican, Tibetan, Chinese, Thai, Continental, and Indian cuisine. They serve delicious burgers along with French fries. If you love spicy food, then do try the Himalayan momos. The music here has the power to lift anyone’s spirits. This pub offers a vibrant nightlife, but keep in mind that only those over 18 are allowed. After a lip-smacking dinner, don’t forget to have Tiramisu for a dessert treat.

An Australian chef who marryed a Pahadi girl and settled in Manali started this rustic outdoor cafรฉ to fulfill his passion for serving great food. Just imagine how romantic the story isโthen think about how romantic the restaurant or cafe would be. During the peak season, you’ll see a lot of rush here. We ordered roasted chicken after reading so many reviews about itโtotally worth the hype. The scenery at the cafe is breathtaking, and the staff is warm and eager to cater to you with personalized dishes made from fresh ingredients. Don’t miss out on the dessert of the day! A must-visit for anyone taking a trip to Manali!
7. Backstreet Cafe
When on a trip, mouthwatering food is a must to keep you charged throughout the day. Backstreet Cafe is the place to go, especially when it comes to tasting local food in Manali with authentic taste and flavors. Best in Serving European and North Indian food, the cafe offers both indoor and rooftop seating. The hilltop view from the cafe makes it one of Manali’s most visited places to eat. Enjoying a hot chocolate or a coffee latte here during the coldest days of Manali, with snow all around, is truly mesmerizing. The good news is Meal costs are very nominal, with 1000-1200 rupees enough for two people. So, look no furtherโgrab a plate of grilled sandwiches and paneer tikka to satisfy your cravings.
8. The Lazy Dog
A riverside setting, a glass of wine, and your favorite foodโthat’s what a dream travel experience looks like. All this you can have at The Lazy Dog Cafe in Manali. They offer Asian, Italian, and Continental-inspired cuisine. A well-crafted bar program will give you a soul-satisfying experience. Take my recommendation for sushi and fish tikka. They have reasonable prices with admirable staff services. Given how popular the place is, you might need to wait for a table. But trust me, it’s well worth the wait.
9. Rocky’s Cafe
Amidst nature, breathtaking surroundings, and a comfortable staycation, Rock’s Cafe has it all. Visitors can enjoy their meals with indoor and rooftop seating, which is quite cozy and comfortable. However, during winter, sitting outside can be windy and chilly. Try their Chicken Pakora, Pizza, and Lemon Ginger Tea for a flavorsome treat. We enjoyed the chicken dim sum, hummus, and pitaโeach one was delicious. A worthwhile visit, it’s one of the best cafes in Manali for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a view.
10. Cafe Amigos
If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss out on Cafe Amigos. Savor delicious cakes, pastries, cookies, and the best filter coffee in the town. The location is comfortably accessible from Mall Road and nearby Manali attractions. The service is very quick; even during rush hours, they take only 10-15 minutes to serve you a hot and fresh meal. Considering the cost for two, the cafe is pocket-friendly in Manali. Pick anything from the sandwich, burger, pizza, and pasta options when you’re confused about what to order at Cafe Amigos.
